Well Bush has sunk to a new low in approval ratings. With that, what is his strategy now to regain support? Reuters has the answer:

Amid rising sectarian violence in Iraq, President George W. Bush will make a new push to bolster support for his Iraq policy in a series of speeches that begin on Monday.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said on Friday the objective would be to update Americans on “our strategy for victory in Iraq,” to talk about progress on the ground and “the lessons we have learned and how we are acting and adapting to fix what was not working.”

Bush has been hampered by low public approval ratings caused in part by American dissatisfaction with his handling of the Iraq war.

Like that is really going to help. Bush released their master plan last fall on Iraq in hopes to raise his approval ratings and it didn’t help. The problem is Bush is going to go out and  say the same thing. That was his same plan for Iraq that got him re-elected and people now wondering why.

The other problem is that 90% of Bush’s speeches are on Iraq. Wake up Mr. President. There are problems here on the home front and you continue to ignore those. That is pissing people off and earning you the legacy of “worst President ever”.

It is very simple. American’s can multi-task. They can think of more thing than once. Bush on the other hand is a poster child for ADD. He has been stuck on one item for four years now. He has pretty much given up on the man who attacked us, left the Gulf Coast in ruins and ignored the disaster we had this year that was (and still is) Medicare.

So get ready because the media will be on their best and following Bush around as he spends millions our country can not afford to go out and say the same thing he has been for well over a year. “Stay the course”. “When the Iraqis stand up we will stand down”. You know all the Bushit lines. They should be echoing in your head like a horrible song.
