Here is McCain's latest ad called "special". Watch it then see if you start noticing what I do:
He argues that Obama is not ready "yet". Now think about that for a moment. This last week all we have heard is how Obama is a socialist, a radical, friend of terrorists, etc. So is John McCain saying that America will be ready for this in the future? It really seems like McCain has nullified all his attack comments from the past several weeks with this one ad trying to reach out to the undecided.
McCain didn't have the guts to mention Ayers name while face-to-face with Obama, instead waiting until he was safely back in his cocoon of race-baiting rallies and Fox News interviews before going with his latest lie and smear campaign. Pitiful.
I believe this would be a perfect question in the final debate. "Senator McCain - You have spent the last several weeks trying to connect Senator Obama and 60's radical Bill Ayers. Why didn't you bring this up during previous debates?" Let's see if McCain has the cahonies to say anything with Obama right there.
That's what the McCain campaign has been doing and the proof is in their ads. The AP has done a study on this:
MADISON, Wis. - Nearly every TV ad Republican John McCain ran last week was negative, compared to just 34 percent of those by Democrat Barack Obama, according to an analysis released Wednesday.
The harsher tone in McCain's ads mirrors the sharper attacks he and his running mate Sarah Palin have been making on the campaign trail as polls show Obama opening up a lead.
During a week of economic turmoil and American's seeing trillions in their retirement dissolve into the abyss, John McCain could not muster what it takes to be a leader. Instead he had to resort to the tactic Americans have come to despise - attacking your opponent. If that's "change you can believe in" then I don't think we need it.
The DNC has launched a new ad exposing McCain and his big gambling problem. It's not just that he gambles at the tables, but he also gambles with taxpayers money with all his gambling industry lobbyists on his campaign:
Obama is still pulling ahead in the polls, but that lead does not have the comfortable factor that it should. We need to work harder to get people out to vote on Election Day so we don't have to wake up to these headlines on November 5.
The wingnuts are in a frenzy over Obama's ad mocking McCain's lack of technical intellect. They are all coming to his defense saying he can't use a keyboard because of injuries he received as a POW. That is an interesting argument, but if he can't use a full sized computer keyboard, then how can he use a cellphone or blackberry? Well there's pictures of him using those devices on the Huffiington Post.
I also find it really interesting that Glenn Reynolds, the tech man of the wingnut blogosphere, also is playing so deep into this. Shouldn't someone who is so into the tech world realize there are plenty of alternate input devices made for people that have disabilities such as this? There are special mice, keyboards and even voice recognition.
Of course there is one other key piece that really punctures a hole in the new outrage by the wingnuts. That hole is McCain himself. He admitted in July of this year that he is now trying to learn to use a computer. Now why would McCain admit to that when he could simply claim POW instead? It sounds like even McCain doesn't believe what is coming out of the wingnuts now.
If Blakeman was really a man he would hang his head in shame and stay away from the media for awhile. Of course he won't, so hopefully we get to see more spankings like this:
