Really? McCain Was A POW?

That's the excuse the McCain campaign is using now for the housing gaffe:

Eric Kleefeld notices that McCain aides referred back to McCain's time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam in defending him from the mockery over his houses.

This is a guy who lived in one house for five and a half years -- in prison," says spokesman Rogers.

Talk about shallow. Ben Smith thinks the McCain campaign maybe overplaying the POW card. I say there is no maybe to it.

Maybe McCain should pick Rudy as his VP. Then we could hear 9/11, POW, 9/11, POW, 9/11,POW over and over again. These guys are like scratched up records.
