So Why Today?

There has been a lot of coverage on the news networks today about the House's debate over the resolution to commemorate 9/11. The question is - why today? Should this not have been debated and enacted for the actual anniversary - 3 days ago? Oh wait - I got it. The House was on recess for all of August and god forbid they do actual work during that time. I mean they are putting in a hard 90 days of work this entire year.

Here's a new rule - Members of the House and Senate must be paid hourly and punch a time clock from now on. Us taxpayers are tired of giving them a free ride.
