This one really got me:
This from a Republican who sat by and said nothing while our troops were getting killed left and right in Iraq and didn’t even have the proper equipment to protect them.

Oh this is just priceless:
Republicans wrapped up their retreat Friday by signaling they are losing patience with President Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress.
Former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) criticized the new administration on Friday, saying it had promised to reach out to Republicans on the Capitol Hill, but then offered an economic recovery package that included few, if any, proposals from the minority party.
Romney, who helped write the House Republican substitute voted down Wednesday afternoon, said enough of the rhetoric, it's time for Obama to act.
And what the fuck did the Democrats get with Bush? Hell we questioned his policies and were called “traitors” and “unpatriotic”, and now the Mittster has his magical panties all up in a bunch. Welcome to what the detractors from the previous administration went through. If you don’t like it then get the hell out of the country. That is something else we heard too.

Sounds like everyone isn't 100% confident in McCain.

The Mittster is now claiming John McCain came up with the whole surge.
So why do these Republicans show such little respect for David Petraeus, and why don't the wingnuts who were pushing for Petraeus to run for President come out in his defense? This shows the lack of respect for our military from the right.

The rumors are flying that it could be true:
Josh Romney, one of former Gov. Mitt Romney's five sons, says it's "possible" his father may rejoin the race for the White House, either as a vice presidential candidate or seek to become the Republican Party's standard bearer if the campaign of Sen. John McCain falters.
The 60-year-old Romney, who "suspended" his campaign for the GOP nomination after a disappointing showing on Super Tuesday and a week later endorsed McCain, was taking a break from politics this weekend on a skiing vacation in Utah with his wife Ann, according to his 32-year-old son.
This would turn the political world upside down. I wonder how long before the Romney's start a whisper campaign trying to pin McCain down even more? I wouldn't be shocked one bit if that happened.

No big surprise there. This should put McCain past the threshold if all delegates follow along.

That's what MSNBC is reporting. Translation - he will probably be dropping out.

So I hear this statement read on MSNBC and can't stop thinking "WTF"?
So it's McCain and some "backroom D.C. deal" that cost Romney WV? Talk about a reach.

Oh InstaPundit. Romney is a Republican - sincerity with them is about as common as actual compassion. Hasn't Bush taught you anything? How about the "family values" platform? Republicans will say anything just to get elected.

Mitt Romney has won the Maine Primary (yeah I totally forgot it was going on)

It kind of sounds like Mitt is starting to give up:
In a major boost for John McCain, Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney signaled Wednesday he's not ready to commit to a costly campaign in the states holding primaries and caucuses next week.
Several officials said that on the heels of a defeat in Tuesday's Florida primary, Romney's campaign was not attempting to purchase television advertising time in any of the states on the Super Tuesday calendar.
Now would this be a boost to McCain or a boost to Huckabee? A lot of pundits think that McCain is doing so well because the conservatives are splitting between Romney and Huckabee. This could actually help Huckabee more than McCain if that's the case.

He won the endorsement of Liz Cheney today, but the mind of the neo-conservatives, William Kristol, tells us that there is more support coming from Pennsylvania Ave. than just that of Darth Cheney's offspring.
You know - I can buy this. It looks like Mitt and George are more alike than you would think.

With 0% reporting and the caucuses only one hour in, MSNBC is projecting Romney the winner. Wow isn't media controlled democracy great?
