"Kill Bill O'Reilly"

Fri Aug 15, 2008 at 11:24 am

A rap group called East Coast avengers has released a song called "Kill Bill O'Reilly". Wired has the song available (towards the bottom of the article). Already some on the right are complaining about it, but is this any worse than when they call for killing Muslims, reporters or judges?

This Guy Is Awesome

FOX figures their goons will go out an corner a Catholic Priest on the Rev. Wright stuff. The priest hit back hard and made O'Reilly's goons look like bumbling idiots.

Brad Blog has much more on this.

Finally!

Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 02:38 pm

After hundreds of horrible comments by Bill O'Reilly, we finally get Jesse Jackson calling him out on them. The "lynching" comment about Michelle Obama appears to be the final straw.

From Bush's Podium To Bush's Mouth Piece

Fri Feb 22, 2008 at 11:30 am

Tony Snow joins O'Reilly's Radio Factor as a permanent fill-in host. Does this mean Snow shared the same lynching views as O'Reilly? It wouldn't be shocking if he did.

O'Reilly Is One Step Above The Klan

Wed Feb 20, 2008 at 03:51 pm

The Klan never needed a reason to lynch a black person. O'Reilly at least wants some kind of "evidence":

O'Reilly: "I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feel

I know O'Reilly isn't talking about a literal lynching, but this comment was in extremely poor taste. Of course that is par for O'Reilly and FOX news. Bob Cesca has also touched a nerve with FOX pointing this out, and he has even started a petition.

O'Reilly Scared Of Homeless Vets?

Fri Feb 1, 2008 at 04:50 pm

No shock - we always knew he was a coward:

While O'Reilly wouldn't face the vets on the streets, their plight also escaped smarmy O'Reilly producer Jesse Waters, who wore Gucci loafers and a goofy smirk as he asked the vets if they had heard the comments firsthand, and then chided them about not traveling to Dallas to confront Mark Cuban about the depiction of G.I.s in his film "Redacted."

"We're here to talk about Bill and his comments," one vet said, holding his ground.

Waters' cohort, who refused to give his name, said, "I'm completely unfazed by this," as he stared into his BlackBerry.

While the group wasn't allowed to meet or see O'Reilly, Waters eventually did accept the binder of 17,000 petitions on the pundit's behalf.

That's how FOX supports our troops, by ignoring the ones who served and are in troubled times. Osama thanks you Fox!

Dear Col. David Hunt

Wed Jan 23, 2008 at 04:48 pm

I am very proud to see you taking up the disgusting issue of our nation's heroes living on the streets. More attention must be garnered for our homeless veterans.

I also found this part of your latest piece very troubling:

The Veterans Administration suggests that there are 193,000 homeless veterans in this country; I believe that number is closer to 500,000.

I must say that I agree. We all know that government estimates on such news usually err on the conservative side. I was, however, wondering what you think of people who dismiss even the most likely low-end number the VA has released? What if someone was to say something like:

They (the homeless vets) may be out there, but there’s not many of them out there.

You see that is an actual quote from one of your colleagues. As matter of fact this is a quote from a colleague of yours and one you mention in your article:

At last, people with some political and news-making muscle are talking about a true American tragedy: homeless veterans. On his radio and TV shows, Bill O'Reilly commented on Sen. John Edward’s remarks on the plight of homeless veterans.

Yes it is great that John Edwards has made poverty a front issue of his campaign, however what do you think about Bill calling Edwards a "charlatan" for his work?

I am troubled by how you seem to ignore the ignorance your colleague, Bill O'Reilly, has exhibited on this issue. You state this in your article:

The commentary of Bill O'Reilly about John Edwards at least had the issue on the front pages and on TV. For many in government the homeless is a non-issue, citizens of this great country who are mentally sick living in their cars does not get anyone votes. However, homeless veterans, even if it's one, let alone thousands, ought to cause governments to fall. A nation that does not care for its veterans does not deserve them. We cannot ever be truly great until all of us have a place to sleep and getting help for what makes us sick. If we continue to do nothing about our homeless and our homeless veterans then … WE SUCK.

Yes we do suck, but doesn't it suck more when a person with a national audience tries to diminish the issue by ignoring the actual numbers? Bill has been on this rampage for over a week now and won't budge from his position. He is still trying to downplay how many homeless vets this country has.

So Col. Hunt, I was wondering if you will be going on The Factor to set Bill O'Reilly straight. Will you place the lives of our brave soldiers ahead of your employer's big star?

Sadly I don't think this will be the case. It is obvious by the way you have tried to ignore the gross misrepresentation of the facts Bill has been engaging in night after night. Again I think it is very commendable that you are willing to help bring this issue forward and I am also very grateful for your service to our nation, but I can't help but think that you are putting Rupert Murdoch and Bill O'Reilly ahead of our soldiers. That is indeed troubling.

"Not Many Homeless Vets"

Wed Jan 16, 2008 at 02:18 pm

That's what Bill O'Reilly said last night. 195,000 isn't a lot to Bill O. He is even offering to take care of them. I say we help him out and start locating all the homeless vets and let Saint O'Reilly open his checkbook up to make sure they have a home, like they deserve.

The O'Reilly Dilemma

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 03:36 pm

Do I support Christ Matthews/MSNBC or do I support Media Matters. You can watch the video at the link. Of course O'Reilly thinks this is the first time Media Matters has gone after Tweet or MSNBC at all. Shows how misinformed he is.

O'Reilly - Defender Of The Constitution

Sat Jan 12, 2008 at 02:18 pm

Plus other great clips of "FOX Vs. Obama" compliments of Brave New Films

I still love O'Reilly's whole "I was defending the Constitution argument". I forgot that article that says the constitution only applies to him and not others like The New York Times or regular American citizens. Typical O'Reilly HypoCRAP!

Why Didn't O'Reilly Get Tazed?

Mon Jan 7, 2008 at 09:25 am

When a college student tried to ask Senator John Kerry a question we ended up with the new phrase "don't taze me bro!", so why when is it that Bill O'Reilly can forcibly try to ask a Senator a question, which even gets the Secret Service involved, and we didn't see his dumb ass shaking on the ground to the tune of 50,000 volts?

Amato has much more on this, including O'Reilly's previous attacks against Obama.

Bill O'Reilly Fucks Goats!

Since he can go on television and accuse everyone who reads progressive blogs of worshiping Satan, then I guess we can say whatever the hell we please about him.

O'Reilly's Commenters Pushing Crimes Against Democratic Candidates?

Thu Jul 26, 2007 at 08:14 am

News For The Left posted this yesterday:

After seeing this post by John Aravosis on AmericaBlog, I was incensed and concerned at the same time. Here is the comment on O'Reilly's blog that crossed the line:

If Hillary wins, I will be respectful of our leader. If you could read my thoughts, I would be on the SS [Secret Service] watch list.

So, I did what a responsible person should do when they see something like this on a blog. I called the Secret Service to report it. This comment isn't about politics or defaming Senator Clinton. It outright states a threat to her life. It is unacceptable.

After reading this, I got thinking about when that bomb went off in Afghanistan that was targeting Cheney. People posted comments like "damn they missed" on Huffington Post about the incident. Of course the staff at Huffington Post did the reasonable thing and instantly shut off the comments on that post. That didn't stop the rabid dogs on the right from launching a full assault against the Huffington Post and the left in general.

Now these comments appeared on a site that anyone can register to post on. You don't have to pay to voice your opinion over there, just register for a free account and post away.

O'Reilly's site is different. To post on his blog you need to pay $49.95 a year. To even access his forums, you must become a paid member. So why are posts like this allowed to exist? His posters don't have the anonymity that people posting on Huffington Post do (or any other progressive site). They have a record of payment from their posters, which must contain their personal information.

So we got an example of a very popular right wing site allowing this kind of illegal talk to exist. Under federal law they should be reporting this information to the authorities to prevent any possible crimes. But they haven't - and that isn't the worse of it. To make matters worse, they haven't posted it and they allow the comments to remain on their site.

Of course the Malkin's out there won't point out this hypocritical point that crosses the line of legality. Instead they will go to any extreme to protect their idol. It just shows why the left has dominated the blogosphere, while the right continues to fail. On the left we have adopted a code of ethics and conduct. Of course comments appear from people that cross the line, but every major site has moderators that instantly deletes them and bans the person if needed. The right don't even allow anonymous comments, and yet this stuff is allowed to remain. Something is wrong here and it isn't on our side of the blogosphere.

How FOX Cares

Fri Apr 6, 2007 at 02:33 pm

Following up on my previous post, the family of one of the girls killed in the wreck have now spoken out against O'Reilly:

The mayor and Tessa Tranchant's father both said that making an issue out of immigration loses the focus that the girls were killed by a man that police said was driving drunk.

Ray Tranchant said, "We need to heal, and to bring immigration, that's disrespectful to a family who's just mourning."

Yes Bill - stop using this tragedy as your damn talking point and let the family heal. Of course FOX don't give a damn about the family - all they care about is ratings. This just shows how low of a person Bill O'Reilly is.
