If Bush pushes with permanent bases in Iraq, despite Congress passing a bill saying no (which he did a signing statement on), Jim Webb thinks that legal action might have to be taken. Read the details at the Huffington Post.

The obstructionists just filibustered Jim Webb's amendment that would require troops have at least the equal amount of time off duty as they do on. Apparently they feel the troops can stay in Iraq as much as needed with little time home.

Just to set the record straight, this amendment was taking our military back to the way it operated for years, before George Bush and his fucked up war of lies. It was also to help gain us better readiness in case our military is needed else where. Glad to see the Republicans love helping out our enemies so much.
