Right Wing Idiots Part 100230943

Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:00 pm

Talking points trump intelligence in this clip from today's Hardball when Matthews actually pressed right wing talking head Kevin James on what Neville Chamberlain did wrong:

The video is also available to download next door at Crooks and Liars. This is a video that deserves a good passing around.

(now back to this god awful sinus infection that is kicking my ass)

Tweety's Hardon For McCain

Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 01:42 pm

We have known for a long time that Matthews is goo-goo over McCain. I keep waiting for him to whip it out and rub one off every time he talks about McCain, but today he took this wild man love even a step further:

MATTHEWS: I think there are ways to end it if we had a great leader perhaps, I'm not sure we have on the horizon, maybe it is McCain - to find a way - maybe we should elect a Republican in order to get us out of the war because irony seems to be a better bet than what we've gotten.

Yeah let the man who said he wouldn't mind if we were there 100 years get us out. That's really smart Tweety! Perhaps we should start a collection to buy Tweety a John McCain blow up doll.

"I felt this furrowing up my leg"

Chris Matthews last night talking about Obama's victory speech following the primaries. I just felt something to - my stomach turn.

Scarborough Is "Outraged" Over Matthews Having To Apologize

Fri Jan 18, 2008 at 05:20 pm

But who really cares? What I find the most interesting of the entire segment is how they keep saying Media Matters is now a front for the Clinton campaign.

Kind of. I wonder who pushed him into giving this little speech.

The O'Reilly Dilemma

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 03:36 pm

Do I support Christ Matthews/MSNBC or do I support Media Matters. You can watch the video at the link. Of course O'Reilly thinks this is the first time Media Matters has gone after Tweet or MSNBC at all. Shows how misinformed he is.

Tweety's Dumb Excuse

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 02:28 pm

Here's Chris' defense for his comment against Hillary:

Matthews said his comments referred to the late 1990s, when Clinton made some appearances to support New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and impressed pols with her grace under pressure during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to run for the Senate from New York.

He’s surprised more people — particularly the women on "The View" — don’t remember that as the birth of her political career.

They don't remember it? Perhaps there is a reason for that. Maybe people think the birth of her political career was long before that - being a very proactive first lady.

Matthews exemplifies the "inside the beltway" mentality. Simply because he thinks that is the "birth of her political career", doesn't make it so. It's an altered reality that he has created and his viewers are supposed to accept. Well Chris we don't! We commend Hillary on her accomplishments as a first lady and feel that was the birth of her political career.

Let's Play Harball

Media Matters has launched a campaign against Chris Matthews and his constant sexist comments. Plutonium Page has more.

What A Team Player!

Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 12:21 pm

Speaking of Tweety, it appears he is "infuriated" by the success of Keith Olbermann. Hey Chris - maybe FOX will hire you.

The Polls Weren't Wrong - The Pundits Were

Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 11:51 am

Joe Conason sums it up perfectly:

The polls that had showed Barack Obama well ahead of Clinton were not so much wrong as misleading -- or at least badly interpreted by journalists too eager to write Clinton's political obituary. In fact, the polls correctly measured Obama's share of the vote. What happened during the contest's last few days was that the undecided broke for Clinton, and the question is why.

Keith Olbermann also Reported on this the other night. He showed how more than 1/4 of the voters were undecided. So where does it say in the Constition that people aren't undecided must vote for the front runner in the polls?

This was also part of Chris Matthews defense this morning (we are working on getting video for C&L). The problem is that Matthews was one of the pundits writing off Clinton because he ignored the undecided count in the polls. I guess that helped him with his sexist agenda.

Tweety Channels The O'Reilly Defense

Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 09:37 am

He was just on Morning Joe saying how people shouldn't listen to Media Matters or the blogs that they take everything out of context. Really? I think there's enough evidence, including actual video, to prove what a sexist fuck you are Chris.

More On Sexist Tweety

Wed Jan 9, 2008 at 07:59 pm

There is a nice list compiled over at Daily Kos of some other classy comments by Matthews, Check them out then use the link at the bottom of their post to tell MSNBC how you feel about this.

Tweety Imus

Wed Jan 9, 2008 at 07:43 pm

Dom Imus didn't leave MSNBC - he just turned into Chris Matthews. Here's Matthews this morning saying that Hillary is only where she is today because Bill screwed around.

Jane tells MSNBC that they have a gender problem. I think it's time for them to kick Matthew's hardballs off the air for good.

UPDATE:

Tucker Carlson just said that if a man in politics cried he would be booted out. So Tucker - when are you booting John Boehner out?
