CIMG0617 John McCain has now won Missouri, breaking their 48 year streak:

McCain's edging out of Obama in Missouri breaks the state's bellwether streak in which Missourians correctly picked the presidential candiate in every election dating back to the 1960 contest. Missouri got it wrong in 1956, voting for the Democratic challenger Adlai Stevenson, who lost the election to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Before that election, Missouri correctly picked the winner in every race for the White House dating back to 1904.

They can regain their name by voting for Obama in 2012 though.

No reason why, but there are some serious problems that might be leading to him not seeking a second term as Missouri's governor. I wonder what his neo-con daddy, Senate Minority Whip Roy Blunt, knows or thinks about this?

It looks like Roy Blunt's son is taking a page right out of the Bush Administrations book of administrative policies:

Gov. Matt Blunt was sued Wednesday by a former staff attorney who claims he was fired and defamed in retaliation for pointing out that Blunt's administration was destroying e-mails in violation of Missouri's open-records law.

The lawsuit by former Blunt attorney Scott Eckersley alleges that Blunt's top aides ordered staff to delete e-mails to avoid having to provide information to the media and public under Missouri's Sunshine Law.

Can we label the entire Republican Party as organized crime yet?
