Matt Lauer

Yesterday Matt Lauer asked Jim Cramer why he doesn't lie to his viewers about the economy. Lauer exemplifies the state of today's media with this very absurd statement. Instead of reporting the news, Lauer apparently thinks that reporters are to tell the people what they want (or what the media thinks they want) to hear. Perhaps someone should tell Lauer that this same mentality is what propelled us into war with Iraq.
