The 11th Circuit has granted former Al. Governor, Don Siegelman, his request to be released from prison pending his appeal. FCC Commissioner Wants Investigation Into Siegleman

Tue Mar 4, 2008 at 03:28 pm

It must be done. A commissioner for the FCC is asking for an investigation into the 60 Minutes blackout in Alabama during the Don Siegleman story. If they don't investigate then they just took a big dump on the red, white and blue.

Dan Abrams On Siegelman

Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 04:20 pm

Last night Dan Abrams talked about the 60 Minutes report that Karl Rove was behind the prosecution and conviction of former Al. governor Don Siegelman. At the end of the segment he called on Michael Mukasey to investigate the whole matter.

On a personal note I got to say I am really becoming an Abrams fan. I didn't care for him much in the olden days (before he ran MSNBC), but now he seems to becoming more proactive and fed up with our current system of injustice.

Siegelman Calls For A Special Prosecutor

Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 10:33 pm

That is what is needed now:

Attorneys for imprisoned former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman on Monday called for a special prosecutor after a key government witness claimed that he was forced to write out his testimony to get his story straight.

Vince Kilborn, an attorney for Siegelman who contends Republican politics was behind the Democrat's prosecution, said the defense was never told of any written notes by Nick Bailey, a former Siegelman aide whose testimony was crucial to the government.

CBS's "60 Minutes" reported Sunday that Bailey said prosecutors met with him some 70 times and had him repeatedly write out his testimony because they were frustrated with his recollection of events.

Also Rove is denying all this and saying that 60 Minutes never even contacted him. Amazing how the media never does anything right anymore. It's also amazing how great our economy is doing and how many Iraqis are showering our troops with candy and flowers.
