Right Wing Idiots Part 100230943

Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:00 pm

Talking points trump intelligence in this clip from today's Hardball when Matthews actually pressed right wing talking head Kevin James on what Neville Chamberlain did wrong:

The video is also available to download next door at Crooks and Liars. This is a video that deserves a good passing around.

(now back to this god awful sinus infection that is kicking my ass)

Hey You Bunch Of Racist Cross Burners In W.Va.

Tue May 13, 2008 at 10:47 pm

Thank you! Love - Erick at Red State:

rscrossessm.jpg

(click for large view).

Yup - that is the fearless leader at Red State insinuating that everyone in West Virginia is some kind of cross burning racist. I wonder how the people of West Virginia feel about the leader of a blog, which has a bunch of Republican members of congress post on, saying such things?

Erick also seems to forget a couple other states in there. He says this in his post:

Here now, this week, and next week, Barack Obama, the presumptive Democrat nominee, will have lost every election since February except North Carolina and Guam, and lost nearly two thirds of the vote in West Virginia, and yet the media will sweep it all under the rug, flailing about wildly to find burning crosses and white sheets instead of recognizing Obama's significant general election vulnerabilities.

Really - every one? I guess Wyoming, Vermont and Mississippi don't count as actual states anymore? Perhaps they won't count either in November.

That Tennessee Hit Piece On Obama

Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 09:15 pm

If you haven't heard the Tennessee GOP posted a piece today going full bore against Obama. From using the Huesein middle name, to the Somalia garb photo, they have left nothing uncovered. This was some heavy hitting by Bill Hobbs, communications director for the Tennessee GOP, who also posted this on his own blog:

Silly, of course. Run a Lexis-Nexis search for the number of times the media has used Hillary Rodham Clinton's middle name, often to underscore her feminist leanings and independence from her husband. Do a search for how many times during the 1988 and 1992 campaigns the media called the first George Bush "George Herbert Walker Bush," to underscore the media's protrayal of Bush as a preppie elitist. Ditto the media's reference to Dan Quayle as "J. Danforth Quayle."

Damn straight that is silly - and I mean that Hobbs thinks Rodham is Hillary's middle name. Damn it seems like I have to pull this photo out a lot anymore:

Wingnut Moron Of The Week

Sun Jan 27, 2008 at 10:20 am

This award has to go to Erick at Red State for this tidbit :

In South Carolina tonight, Democratic voters would rather vote for the rich, Southern, white man than either the black man or the female yankee.

Excuse me? Obama won 55% of the vote. It sounds to me like Erick is trying to say that African American's can't be part of the Democratic Party, but that's not as disturbing as the logic he is using:

In fact, exit polling by and large shows that John Edwards, by staying in the race, is taking votes that would otherwise typically go to Barack Obama. Is this a racist ploy? Is John Edwards in league with the Clintons to make sure white voters, who don't want to vote for Clinton, have a white alternative to go to, lest Barack Obama get more traction?

Did we forget Iowa, a state that is predominately white and voted for Obama? Actually Erick's argument here has strong hints of racism. Perhaps he is saying that the "white folk" should drop out because of the black man in the race.

I Need $80,000

Wed Jan 9, 2008 at 11:36 pm

I worked hard developing this site. I spent countless hours to bring you the new IntoxiNation - now can I have $80,000? I mean it took me about 3 hours last night and 4 hours today to get it done so $80,000 should be about right.

If you are confused, don't be. What I am talking about is the pathetic donation drive going on over at Red State. Currently they run the same platform that I do - Drupal. They need all this money to finish up development on their new system though, because Drupal is so limited and hard to use. Yeah right.

Freepers Or Muslim Fundamentalists?

Tue Dec 11, 2007 at 08:02 pm

Yesterday we learned about the poor woman who was allegedly gang raped by Halliburton employees in Iraq, held against her will and threatened if she told anyone. Today we have the less than humans at the Free Republic calling this poor woman every name in the book.

Isn't this the same kind of thing people are complaining about in Saudi Arabia - attacking the victim? I wonder how long before any Republican candidate or wingnut blogger denounces these comments on the Free Republic. Oh wait - they won't. Instead they will choose to ignore this vile filth cluttering up the internet and still support the site. Their silence on the entire story proves that point.

Talk About Being In The Minority

Wed Oct 17, 2007 at 10:49 pm

For years right wingers would taunt out the fact that Democrats were in the minority. That minority was very slim though. Both times Bush won the White House, it was so damn close.

So these same wingnuts who so boldly reminded us of our minority status over the past several years now find themselves in the minority. This isn't by a few percentage points either.

Let me explain:

Eight in 10 Americans favor expanding the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP, including large majorities of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

While the president has raised concerns about the additional cost of expanding S-CHIP, those who favor the proposal say they'd even be willing to pay more in taxes to help the program cover more children.

More generally, the poll finds that only about one in five Americans (22 percent) approve of the president’s handling of health care. That's lower even than his approval rating on Iraq (26 percent).

Ideologues like Michelle Malkin are thumping their chests over the S-CHIP fiasco going on. They have attacked children and basically advocated for abortion because a parent doesn't have insurance (right to life unless it costs money!). That is how pathetic they have become, and now they are in the super-minority. 22% of this country approves of Bush's veto. That sounds about like the FOX audience.

The problem is how these wingnuts approached the whole argument. They told lies to smear a 12 year old who suffered severely from an accident. For example - Malkin has constantly talked about insurance plans for a couple of hundred dollars. Wow! What a deal! Well she does fail to mention the fact that insurance companies will reject pre-existing conditions, such as these children suffer.

It is just another case of forgetting facts that the wingnuts are best known for. And when Malkin cries about losing this battle, we will sit back with the comfort of knowing who the winners are - the children who need this healthcare. Healthcare is family values and right to life. Apparently Malkin and the other right-wing blogs don't care about family values and life. Their anger just proves that money trumps anything. So - who would Jesus let die?

Wow Republicans Really Are Stupid!

Mon Sep 24, 2007 at 05:52 pm

Looks like the House Republicans wants the House Oversight Committee to investigate the New York Times for publishing the MoveOn ad at a cheaper than usual rate (a mistake on the NYT's people that Move On is paying for).

So will the same Republicans allow an investigation into FOX news for being a platform for the GOP? How about going after any other media outlet that does something partisan? Nah - they will stick to being communists.

The Wingnuts Just Don't Know How To Spin It

Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 08:33 pm

It's amazing how much the wingnuts hate our country, and it's basic freedoms. When a student gets tasered for asking a simple question at a political rally, or founding principal of free speech is in great peril.

Take the popular wingnut Ace of Spades. He is quick to point out that this action happened because - well just read it:

Boy, that security team sure was in a wicked hurry to lay hands on someone disrespecting a Democrat, weren't they?

Meanwhile protesters are allowed to menace and charge conservative speakers at will.

Wow! I never knew the conservative speakers went through so much. How about Ann Coulter? When she spoke here, at our local college, last year only registered Republicans could get in. How about George Bush? When he was campaigning in 2004 it was common knowledge that they only allowed registered Republicans into the events.

It get's even better. The "Ace of Spades" should just fold up his blogging career now. Here is where he contradicts his first part of that statement in the same post:

Apparently the guy was a raging moonbat upset that Kerry didn't contest the 04' election results and demanding to know why impeachment proceeding haven't progressed any further.

So it was a Democrat disrespecting a Democrat. Perhaps the Ace should realize that Democrats do accept opposing views and will argue, debate, or whatever with them - unlike Republicans. Here - you can see what happens when opposing views crash an anti-war protest. Now if this person ended up tasered, you could bet the wingnuts would be calling for Jihad.

Aww Newsbusters Don't Like Me

Wed Aug 15, 2007 at 07:10 pm

Since my last post about the comment left at Maine Web Report calling for a terrorist attack at San Franciso, a lot has happened. I did similar posts atCrooks and Liars and Firedoglake. Markos also did a post on the comment.

In walk Newsbusters. Now they are saying how wrong we are about it and that the comment was actually left bye a Democrat. Their proof? The IP address.

Mattew Sheffied, the Executive Editor of Newsbusters, published a post explaining how he found out the IP address. Now that is a very interesting bit of evidence, but like George Bush's "Executive Privelage", it doesn't do much good.

First thing Matthew - IP addresses are not posted on comments for the average person to see. Wordpress does not do this (unless you hack it to), and as people can see by the screen shot of the comment - no IP address is present. Now since you were so quick to point out that we should "correct" ourselves, would you care to answer why the comment was allowed to remain on the site for the last day? It has now been 23 1/2 hours and the comment still remains on the site.

I find it truly amazing how the right is quick to attack our side when a bad comment is posted, even when that comment gets deleted within minutes. The fact that this comment has been allowed to remain on their site proves that the right does not take responsibility for their sites like the left does.

Secondly Matthew - the IP address you posted comes back to a dynamic IP provided by Road Runner. That means that IP address could belong to anyone in Maine and be shared by numerous subscribers at different times (hence the name "dynamic"). Please leave the tech sleuthing to the internet professionals Matthew.

I also find it disturbing, but not shocking, that News Busters and Maine Web Report would publicly disclose the IP address of a poster like that. The more professional sites do not resort to such tactics, as there are bad people out there who know how to do bad things. So Matthew, do you not take the security of your visitors to heart? How about Lance?

I doubt Matthew will answer to this, but I will answer his concern about "profanity" he raises with a quote from someone he fully supports. Go fuck yourself! Maybe a little Cheney will remove the stick from your ass Matthew.

More From The Wingnuts

Tue Aug 14, 2007 at 09:40 pm

Today was a rather interesting day in the blogosphere. It appears that Susan Collin's people are upset that citizens are video taping her at public rally's. As matter of fact, this was posted today on Maine Web Report:

Markos Moulitsas’s hate-site The Daily Kos, the foul-mouthed fem-blog FiredogLake, and other ‘netroots’ extremists like MoveOn.org, have become the dominant fundraisers for Tom Allen’s senate campaign. This may be good news for Allen financially, but allowing these fringe fanatics to take over his campaign is creating a political atmosphere that will undoubtedly be rejected by Maine voters come next November.

Tom Allen’s involvement with these groups, particularly his participation in the website The Daily Kos, came onto the radar screen of Maine voters recently, as national media exposed a pattern of hateful, vulgar, and anti-semitic postings on the site. Now Allen’s extremist friends have landed on the ground in Maine, and are engaging in the same childish bullying campaign tactics that made Connecticut voters reject their attempts to unseat Senator Joe Lieberman in 2006.

Simply put this is the right wingers in melt down. American citizens aren't allowed to video tape public officials? Well then how can FOX news send their crews out to stalk people, who aren't public officials?

But this story gets even better. There have been several comments posted on this blog, but one stuck out at me. Let's see how a typical wingnut supports Collins:

(click the image to go to the actual comment on the page. I did a screen copy incase it magically disappears).

So here we have a wingnut asking for innocent citizens of this country to die in order to build support for the GOP. Now this alone should be considered a terrorist activity. I wonder if Susan Collins will denounce these hate filled comments? This is why we need Tom Allen to take the Senate seat next year. This is also why we need people running this country who will take terrorism and threats of terrorism seriously and do something about people like Arthur Frain.

More Racism From GOP Members

Mon Aug 6, 2007 at 01:06 pm

A big hat tip to Josh for finding this article. Remember that Florida state legislature that got busted last week for soliciting a blow job from a male in a bathroom? Yeah - the family of party values. But it also turns out this gem of the GOP is now using his excuse for the act as being scared of the black man he solicited it from (who was an undercover cop):

State Rep. Bob Allen told police he was just playing along when a undercover officer suggested in a public restroom that the legislator give him oral sex and $20 because he was intimidated, according to a taped statement and other documents released Thursday.

Allen has already denied any wrongdoing, but the recordings and documents offered new details about what he and police say happened on July 11 inside the men's room at Veterans Memorial Park.

"I certainly wasn't there to have sex with anybody and certainly wasn't there to exchange money for it," said Allen, R-Merritt Island, who was arrested on charges of soliciting prostitution.

"This was a pretty stocky black guy, and there was nothing but other black guys around in the park," Allen, who is white, told police in a taped statement after his arrest. Allen said he feared he "was about to be a statistic" and would have said anything just to get away.

Yeah that is a great defense. So this Republican is not just a racist, closet homosexual - he is also down right stupid. Let's hear it again for GOP "family values"!

Bridge Collapse In Minneapolis

Wed Aug 1, 2007 at 09:00 pm

And heartless, fear mongering Michelle Malkin is upset that DHS reported it doesn't appear to be an act of terrorism:

DHS issued a statement that the collapse “does not appear to be an act of terrorism.” Isn’t it too early to say anything meaningful about what it “appears” to be? Couldn’t they maybe, I dunno, say nothing until they actually know something?

Perhaps channeling your thoughts to the people involved in this horrible accident will be more productive Michelle.

Live Earth

Sat Jul 7, 2007 at 11:10 am

I have been watching and it has been a great show. It is fun to see artists from other countries that we never hear about. Of course to people on the right, that is something to fear. Here is Malkin's take:

Who are these people and what on earth are they doing? Why, they are Australian aborigines hopping around half-naked and waving leafy green things to ward off the Eeevils of Modernity! You know–the same Eeevil Modernity that allows you to access photos of the aboriginal performers online, text your friends about it, and videoblog your eco-solidarity with the natives and their concert sponsors. Yes, friends, the global Gore-basm is underway. And there will be no shortage of cultish spectacles like this one to showcase eco-sanctimony.

Yup - because they aren't looking American or some big time American band playing, they must be wrong. That is the tolerance of the right. I guess this is the right's idea of "quality" entertainment:

I can tell you Michelle, a lot of people in your own country saw that video and said the same thing you did.
